Is it just my total ineptitude, or has it been impossible to log into Avatar since yesterday evening?

I'm trying to decode the logs to see if it was a guest that caused this or just something that happened 'naturally'. It has to be "naturally", defenitely "naturally", following my check of who was the last to log on before the failure! There's NO doubt about it, "naturally" is the ONLY answer! Nick...

Yes, me too.
If it helps, I'm getting "10061 (10061) Connection refused".

I need some witty prose,
To welcome this weeks chart;
But the only rhyme I knows,
Ends in the word flatulence!

Lack of Replies in "New Charts" Threads
One reason for the lack of replies in the "New Charts" threads is that only Moderators can reply to messages in the whole of the "Announcements" forum, according to the error message. I've tried to add a small sample of my famous wit to a number of those threads, but always get told to "Go forth and...

In my experience, putting an awful lot of effort into getting an entry in Google is worth a thousand hits for every thirty-seven, one from each of Mr Godinez's lesser search engines. All this advertising ought to be banned, anyway. We'll have blatent plugs for web sites in people's signatures before...

One takes this coded message to refer to the Norwegian Blue Parrot.(~) Prism Tank (~) wrote:hows it hangin
When last seen, it was 'angin' from it's perch, having been securely nailed there.
Does that answer your question?

It's December and the year ends in an odd number, so we'd all expect you to have had your bath.

Totally agree regarding the naff moggy. It should be swung round by its tail and thrown to the lioness as a snack. As to Avatar, it looks like it's broken till 2nd August. See the thread in "Announcements" for details of Dabhand's deriliction of duty by going away for a week. Nick Harvey Carbuncle C...

Just make sure you stroke the bloomin' thing every time you pass. I'm reliably informed that when it's been stroked one hundred times, it dies, passes on, shuffles off this mortal coil, snuffs it! A bit like the centipede with the wooden leg - ninety-nine, bonk! Nick Harvey Carbuncle Corner - The Mo...
